Until just a few months ago, many popular real estate events were hosted in-person by organizations like the Ontario Real Estate Association (OREA) and the Real Estate Council of Ontario (RECO).
However, due to COVID-19, these activities have temporarily been impacted.
As networking is at the core of the real estate industry, we can’t really do away with events. So, what’s next?
In this blog, we provide you an update on the status of key real estate events and share how organizers are leveraging digital resources to launch networking and learning initiatives.
REALTOR® QUEST 2020
REALTOR® QUEST conference was scheduled to take place from May 27-28, 2020, however, due to the COVID-19 pandemic, it will be rescheduled to a later date, in fall 2020. The new dates are yet to be confirmed.
Inman Connect Now
Inman Connect Now has been converted into a series of fully digital events. The 1-day events scheduled for September 15, 2020, and October 20, 2020, feature general sessions covering broad real estate topics that will be followed by thematic breakout tracks and networking sessions.
The September session is around the theme – Your Job. It will explore how real estate professionals can adapt to the changing market landscape and focus on new skill sets that are vital for the future.
Similarly, the October session titled Your 2021 Plan aims to enable real estate professionals to strategically plan ahead. It will provide insights into market conditions and share emerging best practices. Real estate sales professionals will also have the option to get access to recorded versions of the sessions and re-watch them at their convenience.
